Work

Nine projects, most of them design systems. Three have full write-ups. The rest are summarized here and get pages as I write them.

  1. Harbor 2.0

The system's migration to a new visual language, in two months, with zero consumer-facing breaking changes.

  2. AI Prototyping Tool

An internal tool that generates high-fidelity React prototypes from the design system, so generated work inherits the system instead of drifting from it.

  3. Density and Accessibility

Enterprise ads products needed dense UIs. Google's accessibility requirements needed bigger targets. Sacrificing either one cost real money, so teams were stuck.

  4. Harbor Design System

Founding TTD's first design system, to retire years of accumulated UI debt and give every product team one toolkit to build Kokai from.

  5. Ads Design System

Google's first design system for enterprise ads products, delivered after the timeline was cut by six months.

  6. Design System Management Tool

Built to run the Ads design system, adopted as Google's official one, then graduated to the Material Design team.

  7. Unified Protections

Publishers were blocking inventory too conservatively because they did not trust where it would run. Rebuilding that control so they would open up.

  8. DoubleClick Marketplace

One meeting point across five DoubleClick products, where publishers sell inventory and buyers find it.

  9. Ad Manager Vision

A constraint-free Northstar vision for Ad Manager, run as a sprint with the whole UX team and taken to leadership.
